This collection contains thirty-nine color photographs of the 1968 May 9 funeral of Lurleen Burns Wallace in Montgomery, Ala. The photographs are 3 1/2 by 5 inches. The collection contains photographs of the funeral procession up Dexter Avenue to the capitol, the bier and docorations in the capitol, the flowers along the cemetery drive, and the grave-side services. Members of the Wallace family are also in many of the photographs.

Lurleen Burns Wallace (born Lurleen Brigham Burns; September 19, 1926 – May 7, 1968) was the 46th governor of Alabama for fifteen months from January 1967 until her death in May 1968.
